The family of Chandrakant Singh and Lakshmi is an old landed family with roots in Rajasthan and Central India. Chandrakant served in the Indian army as an officer in the Brigade of Guards. He was wounded in action and is a reciepient of a high gallantry award. He has also served in the Middle East with the United Nations.

After retirement from the Army Chandrakant has pursued his interest in Indian History, Archeology, Culture and Wildlife and willingly shares this knowledge with his guests. Most guests consider this interaction as the best introduction to India.

Lakshmi is an excellent hostess and loves to cook. Guests are always
welcome into her kitchen.

Both are widely traveled in India and abroad and have worked with environmental and heritage conservation groups.

Lakshmi and Chandrakant have two children, Dimpy their daughter is in Melbourne, Australia with her family and Dhruv is a professional golf manager.
